Madi's Grandpa (Dr Hall) has a home in St George - he is nice enough to let Madi & Mckay use it, and they were nice enough to invite us! We were so excited to go get some sunshine and hang out together. We also wanted to see how the girls would do on a long drive, to see if we want to drive or fly to disneyland in September. The answer is fly haha.
We left from Preston on Sunday night, and the girls actually did really well - they slept almost the whole way. But that meant that they didn't sleep well that night. But Madi & Mckay are amazing, and woke up with them for a little bit in the morning. They watched Star Wars and played outside, and Mckay went and got us breakfast.
Then we spent lots of time swimming! June absolutely loved it, and Ruby did too. She even took a decent nap on the pool chairs!
Then we got some dinner and watched TV & hung out together. The next day was a little cooler, so we went to a park and did some walks around St George, and swam in the hot tub after pickle ball. That was so fun because nobody else was at the pool. The girls were champs and stayed up way later than usual to play (ruby didn't sleep well, once again).
Our last day was spent getting breakfast at a delicious bakery and taking it over to the splash pad. The girls loved that!
We had such a fun time with Madi & Mckay. They were the best hosts and took such good care of the girls, they played so hard with them. They are the very best aunt and uncle, and we can't wait to see them become a mom and dad some day.
