I CAN BUY DRY ICE

I turned 18! Which technically means I can buy dry ice, spray paint, and cough medicine. I don't know how I've survived before now.. :)
I had such a good day and I felt so loved!
My mom decorated the kitchen
Scott (who I share a birthday with) decorated the driveway
And Beth and Brooke decorated my room with cute balloons. On each balloon was a picture of us and a reason why the loved me, there were 18 total. So sweet :)

We went swimming with my whole family and they all came bringing birthday wishes :) it was so fun.

                                         Beth and Whitney
                                             Brooke and Brooke
              I promise I didn't wear that all day ^^
Then I came home and opened presents with my family. Mckay gave me a giftcard to Bath and Body Works.. YAY!!
My parents gave me a GPS. Hahaha. Whatever, I named her Dori and she actually helps me out a lot :)

And beth and Brooke gave me this cute gift bag....
But don't be fooled by the bag, their gift of scarves and perfume was actually very tasteful :)
I also got a package from Elder Pehrson with a blanket, a picture in a frame of him and I, sunglasses, dark chocolate (my FAV, I also got some from Scott!) and all sorts of sweet things like that.

And with that B&BW gift card I got 8 bottles of perfume..:))) You wouldn't believe how good I smell, people.
Also my sweet YW President brought me a balloon me.. It's supposed to be a little runner.. So cute :)
After that, Beth and Brooke and I went out to ice cream. Then we sat in my car and laughed our heads off remembering past birthdays and playing a super sweet trivia game.
And don't worry, my day ended perfectly with my favorite, a SUMMER STORM!!! It was the best.

                               super excited about the rain
But don't even worry. My partying did not end there.. My parents surprised me with a day at BEAR LAKE!!! Holla. You know I love that place. Beth and Brooke came too and it was so. much. fun.
pumped in my free t shirt from Weber

we buried Beth in the sand and we didn't realize she was right in the middle of a volleyball game.. She couldn't defend herself, obviously, cause she was stuck in the sand, so the ball hit her right in the face... Hahahahahaha I may have peed myself laughing. Sorry Beth :)

        Look at that face
We kayaked out to the buoys, but the wind was blowing so hard that even as hard as we paddled, we stayed in the exact same spot for like... 30 minutes. And it's scary because I KNOW there were fish in that water.... It doesn't sound quite as treacherous as it really was. We also played football in the water, and had mud fights and bobbed up and down in the waves. Then we grilled up our dinner and had my watermelon cake!!! I told you watermelon was my favorite :)

and we took some sweet HSM pictures.
                       hahahahahaha Beth
it would appear that all I did was mock Beth, but that's not entirely true. I love Beth more than anybody else in the whole world, and she knows it :)
Then, you guessed it, we went out for Raspberry shakes!!! SO YUMMY! Also, we saw some interesting people as we were eating shakes. Someone I'd like to name Pat. Man? Woman? Nobody knows.

Then we made our long drive home with our severely sunburned skin.. Wear sunscreen kids. But we had the windows down and that helped. We drove up through a camp site on the way home and it was only 58 degrees!!! It felt so nice. And we were all so exhausted from the sun that everything was funny. We were laughing at the stupidest things. Like Beth accidentally gave someone the bird, my dad mispronounced Yellowstone, the music we were listening to. Oh boy, was it an interesting ride. Then we all fell asleep :) But even after that, my party wasn't over! Everyone came over to my house the next day for ice cream and cake. We also celebrated Matt's birthday and Annie's.
Talk about feeling the love! I also got to go to the Tim McGraw concert the next day, but that's another story for another post :) I seriously had the best birthday. I am surrounded by the best people. I love all of them and am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for each and every one of them. I don't think anybody is as lucky as I am! Also, if you need any dry ice, spray paint, or cough medicine, give me a ring, I'm 18 :)

xoxo ashton
