Dear Daniel,
Today is our 4 year anniversary! I can't believe it's been four years. In some ways it seems like it was just yesterday that we got married, and in other ways I wonder how I ever lived a day without you! (which I guess I didn't actually live that long without you :))
I remember the first time I thought of you as more than a friend, you were bearing your testimony in sacrament meeting in a purple tie. I know I've told you this story, but I feel like that initial attraction came because (probably for the first time) I could see your love for Jesus Christ. That impression stayed with me for a long time and it really made me want to actually get to know you better, and I'm eternally grateful I did.
As I was looking through all the pictures of us over the years, I've been able to remember just how important our relationship is to me and how much I cherish it. I realize what a blessing it is, and I don't want to take it for granted. In that same thread, I'm so grateful for your testimony and the way you lead our family. I hope you know how much I love Jesus Christ and how important I think it is to make Him the center of our marriage. As we approach our FOURTH year (crazy) of being married, I want to recommit to that and really focus on the triangle of Me, You and God. Thank you for being a good example of this and keeping us on track. I want to make sure I'm doing my part as well, by studying with you and choosing to put Him first when we could be doing other things that maybe aren't as important. I think this will help me cherish what you and I have built.
On another note, some of my favorite memories over the last four years have been:
- Going to Oregon, DUH. That was the best vacation ever!
- Camping
- Hiking, fishing, going to sooo many parks
- Going to GTNP every year
- Kayaking, river floating, bridge jumping and rope swinging
- Going on walks with you
- Reading books with each other
- Watching TV shows we both love and can laugh at
- being with both of our families
- Laughing at you :)
- Playing card and board games together
- Watching dog videos, going to dog parks, petting dogs, finding the nice neighborhood dogs, visiting dogs.... :)
- Waking up with you next to me
- Cooking together
- Watching basketball and football games together, and going to those games in person
- Working at home together over the last couple of months and getting more time together during the day
